Fading light robbed Maple a place in the third round of the League Cup in the Northern Football Association on Thursday when its match against Belmont Fifth Dimension had to be blown off before full-time on the Queen’s Park Savannah.

As a result, Maple, which was leading 1-0 at the time of the stoppage, will now meet Fifth Dimension again next Thursday at the same venue.

Also being played around the same time will be Malvern against Police and Clint Marcelle Football Academy versus Petit Valley—matches that were postponed because there were no officials.

Advancing in the series this week were Dathea, University of Southern Caribbean (USC) and St Ann’s Rangers. Dathea defeated Elements 2-0, USC stopped St Francois Nationals 2-0 and Rangers turned back USSR 2-0.
