Kareem Agard helped himself to a hat-trick as Scarborough Secondary blasted cellar-placed Roxborough 5-2 to regain top spot in the Tobago Zone of BG T&T/First Citizens Secondary Football League Championship Division.

Kellon James and Jayie Sheppard added a goal each for Scarborough while Mihirie Malchan and Kyle George got consolation items for Roxborough.

With the victory, Scarborough climbed back to the top of the seven-team standings with 21 points from nine matches two more than Signal Hill which has a match in hand. On Tuesday, Signal Hill briefly took charge of the table when Marlon Kerr netted an 86th minute winner, in  a 1-0 triumph over host Mason Hall.

Also on Tuesday in the Tobago Zone, Jabari Francis scored two minutes into stoppage time for Pentecostal Light & Life to earn a 1-1 draw with Goodwood which had taken a first minute lead through via Javon Williams. 

Today, East Mucurapo (North Zone) and Pleasantville (South Zone) will have a chance to clinch their respective zonal titles to join Chaguanas North (Central) and Five Rivers (East) as qualifiers to the Championship Division “Big-Five” from which the top three teams will be promoted to the Premier Division.

In the North Zone, East Mucurapo leads the five-team with 16 points from six matches, nine more than Malick and Tranquillity which have three and two matches left to play respectively. Today, East Mucurapo is away to Tranquillity and will be crowned champions once it avoids defeat.

Pleasantville currently leads the South with 22 points from nine matches, nine clear of Vessigny which has two matches in hand.

However, with a point from its remaining match at home today with third placed Princes Town West, Pleasantville will carry its tally to an unassailable 25 points.
